COMPETITION COUNCIL SENT THE SO FOR ENERGY COMPANIES SUSPECTED OF ANTICOMPETITIVE AGREEMENT

10 04 2015

The Competition Council suspects a major heating provider in the capital city of Vilnius and a biofuel supplier of having breached the Law on Competition. The heating company is suspected of concluding a long-term exclusive biofuel supply agreement with one of the major providers of biofuel and thus foreclosing the market to competition. The heating provider supplies heat to approximately 90 per cent of residents of Vilnius.

On 10 April,  the Council sent the SO to the related parties.
